Vintage & Heirloom-Inspired Showit Website Design & Branding | Lindsay Appleton Photography

When Lindsay Appleton, a New England–based wedding and couples photographer, approached me for a brand and website refresh, she wanted a space that reflected her emotional, timeless photography. The goal was to create a vintage and heirloom-inspired Showit website that would showcase her work while connecting with couples who value storytelling, authenticity, and meaningful experiences.

Crafting a Vintage & Heirloom-Inspired Brand

Lindsay’s photography captures honest, in-between moments — quiet glances, laughter, and gestures that tell a story. To reflect this, we designed a Showit website for photographers with a refined, heirloom-inspired aesthetic:

  • Heirloom-inspired design elements to evoke timeless elegance and emotional resonance
  • Soft, neutral color palette and clean typography that let the photography shine
  • Spacious layouts for a calm, editorial feel, balancing modern usability with a vintage-inspired style

Every design choice was intentional, creating a digital space that feels personal, sophisticated, and reflective of Lindsay’s documentary approach.

Designing the Website Experience

The website needed to be more than a portfolio — it had to tell a story. We structured the homepage and portfolio sections to highlight imagery first, letting Lindsay’s photos speak while subtle design details emphasize the vintage, heirloom-inspired vibe.

Built in Showit, the site is fully customizable, allowing Lindsay to update images, copy, and layouts without touching a line of code. This flexibility ensures the website can grow with her business while keeping a timeless, elegant aesthetic.

The Result: A Vintage & Heirloom-Inspired Showit Website

The final website is a Showit website for photographers that feels both editorial and personal. Vintage-inspired touches, thoughtful typography, and generous white space create a calm, sophisticated environment where prospective clients immediately feel Lindsay’s artistry and attention to detail.

This project is a perfect example of how a vintage, heirloom-inspired Showit website can elevate a photographer’s brand, letting imagery and storytelling take center stage while connecting meaningfully with the ideal audience.
